NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — On May 4, the Rutgers Gardens Farm Market Lettuce Festival will feature Rutgers Scarlet Lettuce, a superfood lettuce with high polyphenol content and strong antioxidant properties. The Lettuce Festival will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at Rutgers Gardens, located at 112 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, NJ.
Rutgers postdoctoral fellow Csanad Gurdon will talk about the cutting edge research he works on in the Raskin Lab at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Instructor Rachel Weston will perform a cooking demonstration incorporating this lettuce for a tasting.
Come out for this unique opportunity to see, hear and taste Rutgers lettuce varieties. Lettuce will be provided by Edible Garden Corp.
