NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County wants you to develop a green thumb with lessons from the experts taught at your very own home.
In response to the recent health emergency and the request for residents of New Jersey to stay at home, the RU Ready 2 Garden Webcast was developed to provide gardeners with research-based methods to improve gardeners’ efforts to safely grow food for family and community.
Hosted by Rutgers Professor and Middlesex County Agricultural Agent, Bill Hlubik, the webcast takes place each Thursday at 6:30 pm and streams until 8 pm.
The webcast will offer advice for all gardeners from beginners to advanced in an effort
to help families and communities grow their own food. There is a different topic each week and often guests from the Rutgers, New Jersey Agricultural Experiment station will join our host to take an in-depth look at topics like easy vegetable varieties to grow as well as a look at what’s happening at local farms.
