RENSSELAER CO., N.Y. — The recipient of this year’s Rosekrans award is Ally Hoag.
This award is selected by the cattle program in memory of Helen Rosekrans, a long-time cattle leader and Schaghticoke Fair “Mom” to all. It is designed to recognize an outstanding high school graduating senior who has been a “model” 4-H member and who has been involved in the cattle program throughout their 4-H Career. Members who have been active not only in showing cattle, but have taken advantage of other offerings 4-H has in terms of the educational events related to cattle.
Ally Hoag is the daughter of Jaclyn and Michael Hoag of Hoosick Falls. Ally is a member if the Stateline Livestock 4-H Club, and overall has been an active member of the 4-H community. She has been working with and showing cattle since she could walk and has participated in programs such as the National 4-H Agri-Science Youth Summit in Chevy Chase, Maryland. In addition to being an avid dairy cattle showman, she is a member of the Holstein Association and was a part of her high school’s soccer team. Ally graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School this year, and is currently attending SUNY Cobleskill where she is majoring in Agricultural Science. Congratulations Ally!
