ALACHUA CO., Fla. — Class topics will include: discussion of herbicide modes of action, herbicide additives, herbicide chemistries and weed biology, application types (broadcast, banded, etc.), spray equipment (nozzle types), pesticide movement through drift, leaching, runoff, worker safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), review of area calculations and weight/volume conversions and how to read an herbicide label.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. The class is from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. CEUs will be available. This class will be held at the Freedom Community Center at Veterans Park, 7340 SW 41 Place, Gainesville, FL 32608.
The registration fee is $25.00 and is available through Eventbrite. Please register by February 14th. A $10.00 late fee will be applied for registration after February 14th or if paying at the door. This class is limited to 15 participants. There will be no refunds for the registration fee.
