WATERTOWN, N.Y. — The North Country Council of Social Agencies is pleased to present the June program “United to Fight it: The North Country’s Response to Addiction,” a half-day professional development workshop in response to the opiate crisis.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 8:15 am until Noon. Registration & Breakfast begin promptly at 8:15 am at the Hilton Garden Inn, Watertown, New York. The cost to attend is $20 for Members and $25 for Non-Members. Professional Development credits and certificate will be provided by the Council. A look at the typical day-to-day events of community response to addiction across the region is the focus of this half-day professional development workshop. Learn from professionals from the NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse, PIVOT, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Home Visit Safety, and the Jefferson County Department of Social Services on Mandated Reporting. The North Country Council of Social Agencies is also pleased to welcome presentations from Certified Trainers on Trauma Informed Care and a treatment panel hosted by Credo Community Center, Samaritan Medical Center and the Anchor Recovery Center
