RENSSELAER CO., N.Y. — Rensselaer County 4-H members participated in the New York State 4-H Horse Bowl Contest recently held at Cornell University.
Rensselaer County fielded a Junior Team for the state Horse Bowl Contest lead by Captain Olivia Harrington of Troy and team members Grace Huffam also of Troy, Lindsey Oswald of Cherry Plain, Madison Bulan of Wynantskill and Nicole Tilley of Averill Park. The Rensselaer County Junior Team placed 1st overall and individually Olivia placed 6th, Madison 7th and Grace 9th.
Congratulations to our members and a huge thank you to our Horse Bowl Coach, CharlieAnne Huffam and all the parents, volunteers and contest coordinators for making this state level contest possible. 4-H Equine Educational events foster networking and enhance the development of life skills and STEM abilities through Equine Science.
