PUEBLO, Colo. — The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and Visit Pueblo are Announcing our Spice Up Spring Pueblo Chile Recipe Competition. Registration will open March 20 and be available until April 3. All registrants must be a licensed Pueblo County restaurant or food truck. Each registrant is required to submit their original Pueblo Chile recipe(s) in writing and must agree to the public release of their recipe(s). Judging will be performed the week of April 17th at their individual location. Registration is $50 entry fee and $10 extra for each additional category.
The Spice Up Spring Pueblo Chile Recipe Competition offers licensed Pueblo restaurants and kitchens an opportunity to enter their most creative and delicious recipes inspired by the versatility of the iconic Certified Pueblo Chile Pepper. There will be four categories available to enter including: 1. Appetizer, 2. Entrée, 3. Dessert, 4. Cocktail.
First-place winners in each category will receive a coveted Pueblo Chile Proud Trophy, a Certified Pueblo Chile T-Shirt, 2 Bushels of fresh-roasted Pueblo Chile, $250 cash prize, Master Chile Chef bragging rights, and free publicity – mentions in press releases, social media, the Pueblo Chile website as well as any related print materials! Recipes will also be considered for the Official Pueblo Chile Recipe Book.
Interested registrants can register at visitpueblo.org or pick up a registration form at The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce office located at 302 N Santa Fe Ave. Payment must be received at time of registration. Checks can be made out to the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce.
