PITTSBORO, N.C. — Friday, March 11 will feature a pre-conference Vineyard/Winery Tour, visiting Charlie T Locklear Vineyard & Winery in Maxton and Cypress Bend Vineyards in Wagram.
The main NC Muscadine Grape Conference is all day Saturday, March 12 at the Southeast NC Agriculture Center in Lumberton. Topics include pest and disease control, management of older vines, new muscadine cultivars,a buyer panel on fresh-market muscadines, and more. The conference will also feature an exclusive preview showing of “Healthy Hope, ” a new documentary film on muscadine health benefits research. Lunch is included in all registrations.
After having its 2021 conference as a virtual event, the Association is pleased to hold the 2022 conference in-person . “We know everyone is looking forward to getting together again,” commented Daryl Locklear, NCMGA president.
