DENVER — Managing or working in a nursery, garden center or greenhouse requires a fundamental  understanding of plant growth and development, propagation and pruning, media, disease and insect control.

The Colorado Certified Nursery Professional (CCNP) program provides an in-depth study of these and other relevant topics that can help you and your staff provide the high quality service and support that your customers expect. Certification provides your team members with the knowledge and tools to further extend their value to you and your customers.

Schedule for Fall Courses – Held in Denver Area

Perennials:   9am – 4pm, Tuesday, November 7; Echter’s Greenhouse: 5150 Garrison St. Arvada
Shrubs:   9am – 3pm, Tuesday, November 14; Alameda Wholesale Nursery: 1950 W Dartmouth Ave, Englewood
Trees:   9am – 3pm, Tuesday, November 28; The Tree Farm: 11868 Mineral Rd, Longmont
Landscape Design:   9am – 3pm, Tuesday, December 5; CNGA Offices, 959 S. Kipling Pkwy, Lakewood
Exams: 

  • 9am-1pm, Tuesday, January 9, 2018; CNGA Offices, 959 S. Kipling Pkwy, Lakewood OR
  • 9am-1pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2018; ProGreen Expo, Colorado Convention Center

Register
Requirements to sit for the exam:

  • At least 2,000 hours of verifiable employment with a Colorado registered greenhouse, garden center, contractor or an allied industry.
  • A completed exam application.
