EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. — The United Potato Growers of America’s (UPGA) Crop Transition Conference is less than two weeks away and is moving this year from the Twin Cities to Fargo. The meeting will also be available live on Zoom for those who choose not to attend in person.
The conference brings growers from all over the country together to project crop sizes and market windows, especially for colored varieties. The conference has been a valuable tool since it was originally conceived to better plan the red potato transition between Big Lake and the Red River Valley. The gathering has since expanded to include more transitions across the country.
- The conference will take place on Monday, June 14th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Holiday Inn near West Acres in Fargo. (3803 13th Avenue S).
- Registered attendees my obtain free tickets for a Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks baseball game on the day before. (Sunday, June 13th at 1:00 PM).
- UPGA is again making the conference available to all growers, both members and non-members.
