SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota Soybean invites farmers to attend one of the regional Soybean Success Seminars. The educational seminars focus on management practices to help farmers increase soybean yields and quality. South Dakota Soybean has analyzed seven years of Yield Contest data, and agronomists will present best management practices and trends at the seminars.
The Soybean Success Seminars will feature one of two speakers: Al Kluis, broker, trader and owner of Kluis Commodities or Dr. Elywnn Taylor, agricultural meteorologist. The Soybean Success Seminars will also feature recommendations and discussions with agronomists.
Kluis has been a commodity advisor and broker since 1976, and is president and managing partner of Kluis Commodities in Wayzata, Minn. He is a frequent market analyst for the Linder Farm Radio News Network.
Taylor is the extension climatologist at Iowa State University, and he is well known for his analysis of weather influence on the Midwest. He is widely recognized for his clear explanations of the complexities of long-term weather variability.
“I would like to invite all farmers, whether you are a current soybean producer or have an interest in growing soybeans in the future, to attend one of our regional meetings.
