ARDMORE, Okla. — The 2021 Profiles and Perspectives Community Enrichment Series will begin this month with a live virtual lunchtime presentation by regenerative cattle rancher Meredith Ellis at noon (CDT) Thursday, Oct. 28.
The speaker series, which will return to in-person presentations in 2022, is offered at no cost courtesy of The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation.
Ellis, a second-generation rancher on the G BAR C Ranch in Rosston, Texas, says she became a rancher when she realized she wanted to leave this world better than she found it.
During her presentation, “The Legacy of Beef,” she will explore how she works with the natural ecosystem and uses the principles of soil health to nourish her cattle and the land.
Attendees will hear how Ellis’ regenerative management style helps her land mitigate climate variability, provide cleaner water and support species conservation all while offering nutritious food to the world. She will also answer audience questions in the online Q&A session after her talk.
