SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. — Once again the Susquehanna County Dairy Princess and Promotion Team was at the annual Super Hero 5K and Kids Event held at the Bridgewater Church pavilion. The event is organized by the Stahl family in memory of their son/brother Matthew Stahl.

Team members served ice cream and judged Super Hero costumes runners wore. As runners came across the finish line they were offered chocolate milk by dairy promotion team members.

Scientific studies support the benefits of recovering after strenuous exercise, such as a racing in the Super Hero event, with the high-quality protein and nutrients found in chocolate milk:

  1. Is a natural source of high-quality protein to build muscles.
  2. Contains the right mix of protein and carbs to refuel exhausted muscles.
  3. Provides fluids and electrolytes like calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium to rehydrate and help replenish critical nutrients.

The first 5K runner, Jason Goldman of Endicott, to cross the finish line was happy to “Refuel with Chocolate Milk.”
