NAPPANEE, Ind. — Are you a newer farmer or interesting in starting a farming business? If so, the Beginning Farmer Series will assist you in building a network of people and the tools you need to increase your management and business skills.
In this hands-on series you will learn about: addressing the realities of starting a farm, assessing your farming assets, defining your goals, and creating a feasible plan to achieve those goals. This seven-week in-person series will run from Sept. 15 – Oct. 27 on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Nappanee Center (302 W. Market Street, Nappanee, Ind.).
Session topics include: What are your Realities, Mapping your Assets, Financial Management, Goal Setting, Action Plans and Forming your Projects. During the weekly sessions you’ll gain knowledge to help you create plans and get feedback from the Extension Educators hosting the workshop to give you the confidence to move forward! There will also be some outside work from these workshops.
