ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Join the University of Minnesota Extension and fellow pumpkin growers for a discussion of the 2020 pumpkin season. Get ideas for next year, learn about squash mosaic virus management, and see results from the pumpkin variety trials. This will be an informal and interactive discussion. Register today at z.umn.edu/pumpkinmeetup.
University of Minnesota Extension Educator, Annie Klodd, will share results from the Pumpkin variety trails. These trials took place in 2019 at the Elmstrand farm and in 2020 at the Haufbauer farm. This conversation will be followed by University of Minnesota Extension Educator, Natalie Hoidal, with an update on the Squash Mosaic Virus. After each of these updates there will be open discussion time. This discussion will focus on the 2020 season, variety results on farm, disease and weather issues, and ideas for future research.
The Pumpkin Grower Virtual Meet Up will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm CST. You must register in advance to receive the link to the session. To register go to z.umn.edu/pumpkinmeetup. If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please reach out to Larisa Hohrman at jenri001@umn.edu.
