HARRISBURG, Pa. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service invites the public to attend the Pennsylvania State Technical Committee meeting on July 16 at the USDA State Office in Harrisburg, Pa.
Quarterly State Technical Committee meetings are held to discuss natural resources conservation in Pennsylvania and provide recommendations to NRCS on the implementation of Farm Bill programs.
July’s meeting will feature several guest speakers, including Margot L. Mays of the American Farmland Trust, who will present an overview of Women Caring for the Land. Abigail Appleman, the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for Pennsylvania NRCS from the Capital RC&D Council, will cover Hispanic Farmers in Pennsylvania. Edward Gregory of the Risk Management Agency, will give an overview of the Crop Insurance Program.
