Children can visit with 4-H club animals, including poultry, rabbits, goats, calves and piglets, visit Darwin the tortoise, learn about bluebirds and bees, pound flowers to create a bandana, make a hummingbird feeder, pot up a plant, go on a scavenger hunt and take home free seeds and prizes.
There is no pre-registration or fee required for Family Garden Day activities, so families can stop by anytime during the event to participate in some or all of the free activities. Activities are recommended for children ages pre-K through elementary school, and a parent or guardian must remain with children at all times during the event.
