WESTMORELAND, N.Y. — The master growers at North Star Orchards, 4741 Route 233 in Westmoreland, will be hosting their annual “Fruit Pruning Class” on Saturday April 27th at 10am at their business location. This free event is open to the public and will include a walking tour of the apple orchard, where those attending will learn about pruning apple trees. North Star owner, George Joseph, will also demonstrate pruning raspberry beds, blueberries, grape vines, and other general pruning techniques. Be sure to dress for the weather as this entire workshop is outdoors.
