UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Licensed pesticide applicators can brush up on their skills and responsibilities and gain pesticide credits in a course offered by Penn State Extension from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on December 7, 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Professional Pest Managers School is being presented in a webinar format for 2020.
The Professional Pest Managers School is designed to provide licensed applicators a cost-effective way of obtaining numerous pesticide applicator recertification credits. This educational program provides timely updates on pesticide safety and ornamental and turfgrass pests including classes in turf, landscape, pond maintenance, right-of-way, nursery, indoor pest control, and invertebrate pest management.
The course offers Pennsylvania recertification credits in Core, Private, Category 05, Category 06, Category 07, Category 10, Category 11, Category 15, Category 16, Category 18, Category 23, and Category 24. Also, Maryland recertification credits, ISA Certified Arborists, and PLNA Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist continuing education credits will be offered for participants attending the full day.
