BOONE, Iowa — Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Boone County will be offering two opportunities to attend the Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course, led by Extension Field Agronomist, Meaghan Anderson. The sessions are scheduled for January 18, 2019 at 9:30 and 1:30 at the Boone County Extension office at 1327 SE Marshall Street in Boone. Please call 515-432-3882 to register.
The course will run for approximately two and a half hours. The registration fee is $20. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact your county Extension office.
The course will fulfill 2018 recertification requirements for private pesticide applicators. Topics to be covered include recognition of sensitive areas, including groundwater and other non-target sites and organisms (pollinators) as potentially impacted by pesticide applications, pesticide labels, pests, pest management, and pesticides.
