Private Pesticide Continuing Instruction Course

The course will be offered February 1, 2019 at 9:30AM at the Hinton Community Center and March 5, 2019 at 1:30PM and 7:00PM at the Le Mars Convention Center.

LE MARS, Iowa — Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Plymouth County office will be offering three additional opportunities to attend the Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course, led by Extension Field Agronomist, Joel DeJong. The course will be offered February 1, 2019 at 9:30AM at the Hinton Community Center and March 5, 2019 at 1:30PM and 7:00PM at the Le Mars Convention Center. Please return your registration form or call the Plymouth County Extension and Outreach Office at 712.546.7835 to register.

The course will run for approximately two and a half hours. The registration fee is $20. To register or to obtain additional information about the CIC, contact your county Extension office.

The course will fulfill 2018 recertification requirements for private pesticide applicators. Topics to be covered include recognition of sensitive areas, including groundwater and other non-target sites and organisms (pollinators) as potentially impacted by pesticide applications, pesticide labels, pests, pest management, and pesticides.
