BROWNWOOD, Texas — The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Brown, Mills and San Saba counties are offering a private pesticide applicator training on April 30 in Brownwood.
The training will be at the AgriLife Extension office for Brown County, 605 Fisk Ave. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the training runs from 9 a.m.-noon.
Registration is $50, due upon arrival, and includes training materials. The training is limited to the first 20 preregistered participants; RSVP by April 24th to 325-646-0386.
The training is for those seeking a Texas Department of Agriculture private applicator license and is not a continuing education units training.
The private applicator license is required to buy and apply restricted-use and state limited-use herbicides and pesticides.
The Texas Department of Agriculture requires the training prior to being tested for a private applicator pesticide license, which is also issued through the department.
