CLEMSON, S.C.–This program is for anyone that is interested in or is currently conducting prescribed burns. Participants will learn what is involved in preparing for a burn, various ignition techniques, and why it’s important to observe the results of the burn.
A hay-ride style field tour will be conducted weather permitting. Please dress and plan appropriately to be outdoors for at least one hour.
Topics will include:
-Writing a burn plan
-Wildland Urban Interface
There will be light refreshments and drinks the morning of the program with a BBQ lunch being served as well. Water will be provided during the field tour.
