VOORHEESVILLE, N.Y. — A Poultry Management Class will be held Aug. 1 from 10AM to 2PM at Albany County’s CCE offices (24 Martin Rd, Voorheesville, NY, 12186). This event is open to all ages. Topics will include Broiler and Laying Hen Health Management and Broiler Economics, with presenters from Moyer’s Chicks and Cooper’s Ark Farm.
Ken Wareham, Poultry Accounts Manager for Moyer’s Chicks, will be covering FLAWS (feed, lights, air, water, and sanitation) in Laying Hens.
Leon Moyer, Co-Owner of Moyer’s Chicks, will be presenting on Providing a Brooding Environment for Optimal Results.
Phil Metzger, Co-Owner of Cooper’s Ark Farm, will be discussing Broiler Economics.
