GAINESVILLE, Mo. — Dr. Sarah Kenyon, agronomy specialist with University of Missouri Extension will present a program on “Poisonous Plants Important to Livestock Producers.”
The program begins at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the Ava High School Cafeteria, 507 NE 3rd St, Ava. There is a $10 fee for the class to cover travel and printed material.
The program will address the top seven poisonous weeds in the area to livestock.
“By the end of the program attendees should be able to identify each plant as well as have the knowledge necessary to eliminate it from their fields,” said Kenyon.
Pre-registration is required and can be done by calling the Douglas County MU Extension Center in Ava at 417-683-4409.
