TOWANDA, Pa. — Think you know no-till? Think you know cover crops or soil health? How about “planting green” into a good stand of cover crops? Come see what our own local farmers have done this year with some of the latest information out there on these topics. We will be holding two short, come-as-you-are, field day events this coming Friday to look at fields planted into standing cover crops. Learn what this can do for your operation.
This will be an informal field day for people to share what they are doing, how it is working, what not to do, etc. We will have two events. You can attend one, or both if you wish. The first one will be on Maple Street in French Asylum from 11 a.m. to noon, and the second one will be on Crofut Road in Leroy from 1 to 2 p.m.
Call the Conservation District at 570-265-5539 ext. 6 for specific directions.
