AUBURN, N.Y. — Planning for Transition: A Resource Fair is a collaborative outreach event on Saturday, November 23, 2019. This Resource Fair is seeking to assist new and beginning farmers and farmers or landowners looking to transition their farm to the next generation with navigating the farm transfer. This conference will host workshops that include mechanisms to transfer agricultural land, business planning, financing a land purchase, and tools to effectively communicate between generations. The goal is to assist farmers in finding and utilizing local resources as well as working with the two identified groups on how to effectively communicate through the transition process. The event will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm at Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY. Registration and Exhibitor booths will open at 11:30 am.
