WASHINGTON — Members and Pennsylvania Farm Bureau staff visited Washington D.C. on Monday and Tuesday for PFB’s Fall Federal Affairs Trip.
PFB met with Finbar Brown, Agriculture and Food Counsellor for Ireland at the Embassy of Ireland to discuss common challenges and opportunities we face in agriculture and food.
PFB also spoke with multiple Pennsylvania legislators about current issues in agriculture and to ask them to support upcoming legislation that benefits farmers.
PFB members toured the U.S. Capitol and were briefed by American Farm Bureau Federation staff on important current issues in agriculture.
Government Affairs and Communications Manager Justin Clapper, Federal Affairs Specialist Bailey Thumm and Member Communications Director Will Whisler accompanied members from each of the state’s eight regions on the trip.
