CLEMSON, S.C.–Do you love to watch Food Network? Do you dream of being on Iron Chef? If yes, the Pee Dee Region 4-H Healthy Lifestyles Cooking Team Training is for you! This free training is open to any youth between the ages of 9 and 18 and/or adult leaders who are willing to serve as cooking team coaches.
The workshop will be held on April 23 at the Florence County Extension Office beginning at 5:00 p.m. The training will be led by a former award-winning South Carolina 4-H member with a tremendous amount of experience in the Healthy Lifestyles Cooking Challenge Project area.
Cooking Teams are made up of 3-4 youth in the following age categories:
Cloverleaf – 4th and 5th grade
Juniors – 6th – 8th grade
Seniors – 9th – 12th grade
The training will help to prepare adult leaders and students with the tools they need to successfully compete at the regional and state 4-H Healthy Lifestyles Cooking Challenges. The event is free but pre-registration is required.
Youth do not have to be current 4-H members to attend.
