FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Fresh Georgia peaches are closer than ever. This summer, Pearson Farm introduces free two-day delivery for all peach orders. June until early August, Pearson Farm ships farm-fresh Georgia peaches throughout most of the continental United States.*
Customers can select a variety of options picked straight from the family-owned orchards, including the new “Pearson Farm Peach Box” – a 9-pound box of approximately 24-27 fresh peaches. Customers also love baked goods and jams from “Mary’s Kitchen,” including Pearson-family favorites like Georgia Peach Pound Cake, Peach Pepper Jelly, and Peach Preserves.
“We’ve earned a reputation for growing some of the sweetest and juiciest peaches in the country, and we love to share the bounty from our farm,” said Al Pearson, Co-Owner of Pearson Farm. “We’re excited to offer the new Pearson Farm Peach Box, it’s a great way to experience our farm-fresh peaches from almost anywhere in the country this season.”
Pearson Farm is located in Fort Valley, Georgia, an area famous for its climate and rich, red clay soil. Their orchards produce over 50 varieties of peaches, each with its own distinct flavor, texture, and color. Clingstone peaches–available mid-May through early June–tend to be smaller, with sweet flavor and their flesh clings to the pit or seed. Freestone peaches arrive in mid-June and continue throughout peach season. They are easily separated from their pits or seeds, and are notable for their size, color, and richness.
For more than 135 years, Pearson Farm has supported the growth of authentic Georgia-grown peaches and pecans, as well as the growth of the five generations of family that pioneered it. The core elements remain the same today – good soil, hard work, honest dealings, family, and faith.
*Please note that Pearson Farm cannot ship fresh peaches or in-shell pecans to California or Arizona due to agricultural regulations.
ABOUT PEARSON FARM
In 1885, the Pearson family moved to Fort Valley, Georgia, and began farming peaches and pecans. Today, the 4th and 5th generations of the Pearson Family are farming the same land, growing over 50 varieties of peaches in the spring and summer. The hope and heart from the very beginning of the farm have always been to share the bounty the farm provided – peaches, pecans, and wonderful things made in the kitchen – and that remains the family’s passion today.
