COLUMBIA, Mo. — The Center for Agroforestry is looking forward to our upcoming pawpaw workshop this Wednesday, Sept. 22nd, 3-5pm CDT via Zoom and our web-based learning platform. The workshop will include a panel with THE Neal Peterson – legendary pawpaw collector, Kiruba Krishnaswamy – MU Food Science, Kathy Dice of Red Fern Farm (IA pawpaw grower), Richard Herman (MO pawpaw grower), Ian Giesbrecht (MO pawpaw grower), Lauren Cartwright from MO NRCS EQIP, and our pawpaw research team: Zhen Cai, Patrick Byers, and Andrew Thomas. The online learning platform will allow for registered participants to access pawpaw guides and extended resources, view the Zoom recording, and engage in ongoing dialogue about this unique tree crop.
This workshop is supported by the Missouri Department of Agriculture Specialty Crop Block Grant Program and the USDA Agricultural Research Service.
