GRANT PARK, Ill. — Good pasture management can easily double the total forage produced in a field. Good management can also greatly extend the period over which adequate pasture is available for livestock without the need for additional hay. How can an existing pasture be improved, how are new pastures seeded, what is the best grazing techniques to get the most out of pasture for livestock?
Welcome to two free “walk and talk” grazing events in Kankakee County at Lloyd Bohl’s and Jerry Lorenz’s Farms where cow-calf angus beef cattle are raised.
