STOCKTON, Mo. — Partners in pasture group along with University of Missouri Extension will be hosting a pasture walk on April 24th at Focal Dairy near Schell City, Mo. The workshop will begin with the educational portion at 5:30 p. m. and that will involve and educational tour where participants will learn about the day to day activities of a grazing dairy farm. Topics that may be covered included:
- Milking program and management of the dairy cattle operation
This program is open and free to the public and after the tour and education meeting there will be a potluck dinner. University of Missouri Extension will provide hot dogs and fixins. If you are planning on attending, please bring your favorite food dish as well as your lawn chair.
Direction to the farm are as follows:
- From the south at Dedrick on hwy. 54, go 8 miles north on AA, then go east one mile on Y.
- From the north at Schell City, go 3 miles south on AA to Y, then go one mile east on Y.
