BURLINGTON, Vt. — The University of Vermont (UVM) Extension Farm Viability and Forest Business programs are currently accepting registrations from Vermont farm, forest and maple businesses for both short and longer-term business planning services.
Extension business experts will provide free, individual consultations by phone, videoconferencing or in person, tailored to the needs of each farm or business. These 90-minute business coaching sessions may be used for help with budgets and business plans, preparation of balance sheets, review of business goals including marketing and strategic planning and other financial questions.
More in-depth business planning, which could include development of full business plans, enterprise analyses, cash flow analyses and transfer or transition planning, also is available. Typically, this planning happens over a one- to three-year period, and participants are charged a $75 fee.
To register, go to https://go.uvm.edu/coaching. Once registered, individuals will be contacted by a member of the planning team.
For more than 20 years, the UVM Extension Farm Viability and Forest Business programs have provided support to hundreds of businesses throughout the state that serve the farm, forest and maple business community. Funding for much of this programming is provided by the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board’s Farm and Forest Viability Program.
For assistance completing the application form or if requiring a disability-related accommodation to participate, contact Corrine Cooper at (800) 278-5480 or corinne.cooper@uvm.edu.
