CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Professionals in the agricultural industry will be providing valuable information to farm business owners who are looking to retire, scale back from farming or looking to transition from a farm business to take on another adventure.
These workshops presented by PA Farm Link. PA Farm Link, a non-profit dedicated to “Linking Farmers to the Future,” will provide information on various aspects of creating a Farm Business Succession/Transition plan. Often farm families start to discuss passing the farm business to the next generation, but get “stuck” on how to proceed. These workshops will help work through some of the myths and stumbling blocks of moving forward with a farm succession and transition plan.
Join us to get started on creating a succession plan for your farm operation. Topics to include: legal, business and tax considerations, farm family communication and planning for the unknown, as well as planning for successful management transition and financial considerations.
Registration includes lunch and a copy of our “Planning the Future of Your Farm” workbook (a $10 value).
