HARRISBURG, Pa. — PA Farm Link has launched a Farm Succession Blog, focused on transition planning and related topics. The Farm Succession Blog is informative and offers farmers an opportunity to tap into technical information and related helps available 24/7 as time allows.
“The most important thing farmers can do for their family and the farm is to develop a succession plan and yet it’s the last thing on their to do list.” says Darlene Livingston, Executive Director at PA Farm Link and 4th gen farmer. “It’s difficult to plan time away from the farm to attend farm succession workshops so we’re bringing succession topics to the farmer! Blog posts are available 24/7 whenever farmers have a few minutes to read them.”

PA Farm Link is a 501c3 organization devoted to linking Pennsylvania farmers to the future through an online database, educational programming, consultations, farm succession facilitation services and online resources. In 2021 Farm Link assisted 6573 farmers, 1514 acres were available through the database and farmers sought 1759 acres for production purposes.
