BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — The whole family will enjoy new adventures as they follow the Yellow Brick Road to the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, 630 N. 126th St. in Bonner Springs, Kansas, when Oz Comes to Kansas… Dorothy Returns to Farm Town.
The four-day event, Aug. 2-4, will feature fun, food and festivities, including 45-minute performances by the Mesner Puppet Theater, memorabilia exhibit from the International Wizard of Oz Club, Oz-mazing corn maze, Twisted Twister slide, Toto’s Tricks & Treasures crafts for kids, Munchkin Munchies, witch cackling contest and other entertainment. Visitors can also tour Miss Gulch’s farm home, ride the train, watch the blacksmith at his forge, and see goats, chickens and other farm animals. See Dorothy, Professor Marvel, Auntie Em and Kansas farmhand characters.

Thursday, Aug. 2 – 2-6 p.m. (Mesner Puppets at 3)
Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mesner Puppets at noon and 3)
Witch cackling contest is daily at 1:30 p.m.
Oz Comes to Kansas is being held in conjunction with the world premiere of the Theater League’s live stage version of the classic MGM musical Wizard of Oz performance at the nearby Providence Medical Center Amphitheater for five days, Aug. 1-4.
