TROY, Ohio — Join the OSU Extension office on April 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. to learn about how to start raising chickens and other poultry in your backyard. Educators Tim McDermott DVM and Amanda Bennett will discuss breed selection, safe egg handling, chicken health, zoning requirements, housing and nutrition to help you successfully raise meat or eggs.
The event will be held in the Extension Meeting Room on the ground floor of the Old Stone Courthouse in Troy. Pre-registration is required by April 13. Cost is $10/person or $15/couple.
