FARMINGTON, N.Y. — The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York (NOFA-NY) is holding its seventh annual Organic Dairy & Field Crop Conference on Tuesday, March 6th at the Holiday Inn Syracuse/Liverpool, NY, 441 Electronics Parkway.
Keynote Speaker, John Bobbe is the Executive Director of the Organic Farmers’ Agency for Relationship Marketing (OFARM Inc.), an organic grain and livestock marketing cooperative with members across the country. He will provide an inspiring address that examines how to defend organic integrity in the face of organic fraud. The history of the problem, current status, and what can be done will be explored based on Bobbe’s personal experience of being in the center of the problem in the U.S. and traveling to areas where much of the fraud originates.
Veteran farmers, beginning farmers, and farmers interested in sustainable and organic management are welcome. Learn from Greg Brickner about milk pieces; Sarah Flack on how to increase farm income to match your herd; Klaus Martens on precision ag technology; Larry Smart on breeding industrial hemp; and, many more! It is a full day of learning, networking, and information exchange.
Pre-registration deadline is February 28th. To register, call 585-271-1979 x1 or visit www.nofany.org/dairyconference. Conference registration is $65. NOFA members receive a 10% discount. Interested in sponsorship? Visit www.nofany.org/dairyconference before February 16th.
