TALLAHASSEE — Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam recognized the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service’s Operation Outdoor Freedom program during today’s meeting of the Governor and Cabinet.
Operation Outdoor Freedom is administered by the Florida Forest Service and provides wounded veterans with recreational outdoor activities, such as guided canoe rides, hunts and fishing trips, free of charge. The program has hosted more than 3,200 veterans at more than 400 outdoor events.
