COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Pork Council recently awarded 10 scholarships for a total of $7,500 to students across Ohio. The Ohio Pork Council awards scholarships annually to a select group of students who have shown exemplary service in the pork industry and an interest in pursuing a career in the pork industry.

Nicole Straathof, Washington Court House
Mackenzie Dirmeyer, Fort Recovery
Abigal Wrestler, Wooster
Caleb Haines, Montpelier
Lea Kimley, South Charleston
Shelby Lidner, New Carlisle
Tyla Voight, Tipp City
Ohio Pork Council scholarship recipient Nicole Straathof was also awarded with the Ohio Pork Council Women’s Scholarship for a total of $750 and Dick Isler Scholarship for a total of $1,000. Nicole is a resident of Washington C.H. and attends the University of Kentucky.
