SALEM, Ore. — ODA Noxious Weed and ODA County Noxious Weed grant applications are live and on the OWEB site! There is a remaining $2.85 million to award for ODA Noxious Weed grants for the current biennium.

ODA Noxious Weed Grant Application
ODA County Noxious Weed Grants
ODA set aside a total of $500,000 for county grants to fund:
- Target new innovative county noxious weed control projects (multi-phase projects are also allowed); or
- Support county noxious weed control programs in developing more innovative on-the-ground projects that meet Measure 76 requirements.

County applicants must contact Tristen Berg at tristen.berg@oda.oregon.gov with an OGMS username to be added to the ODA County Noxious Weed Board applicant group.
Who is eligible for county funding?
- County Noxious Weed Programs (preference may be given to counties with weed control districts under ORS 569).
- SWCD’s and CWMA’s may qualify if designated as the county weed entity by the County Commissioners.

Project Requirements- for both ODA Noxious Weed and County Noxious Weed Grant
- The project must be for the management of state listed noxious weeds. The OSWB establishes and maintains a list of “A” and “B” designated noxious weeds.
- Proposed projects shall include only plants listed on the State Noxious Weed List. Examples of projects should include control, and may include survey, monitoring, prevention, restoration, and outreach.
- The project must demonstrate sound principles of integrated weed management to both protect and enhance watershed health. Proposed activities should be proven methods that promote, enhance or protect natural resources.
- Projects will demonstrate site specific management objectives. Projects demonstrating specific site analysis and project development are desirable. Projects supported by or identified in Weed Management Plans, Site Assessments, Action Plans, Watershed Plans and Federal Management Plans are desired.
- Projects should include on-the-ground control elements to be considered for funding. Control must be completed within the timelines outlined within each grant cycle.
