BATAVIA, N.Y. — The CCE Cornell Vegetable Program welcomes dry bean growers to attend the 2017 NYS Dry Bean Meeting on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 8221 Lewiston Rd., Batavia, NY 14020 from 9:30 am – 2:15 pm.
Cornell University, Cooperative Extension, and industry experts in dry beans will be giving presentations at this annual event. Attendees will hear the latest research and production updates on dry bean varieties and bean breeding, weed management, Western bean cutworm, and white mold disease. There will also be an update on food safety practices and documentation required by buyers. Share your ideas as we review research priorities and gather suggestions for future educational programs. Lunch will include tasty dry bean dishes from the New York Coalition for Healthy School Food. DEC and CCA credits have been applied for.
COST: $25 for Cornell Vegetable Program enrollees; $35 for all others. Lunch cannot be guaranteed unless payment is received by March 1.
