ALBANY — New York Farm Bureau holds agricultural education and leadership development in high regard. As a result, the organization has been a longtime supporter of New York FFA. This included presenting the members of the new State Officer team with their official blue jackets at the recent State FFA Convention at Morrisville State College. The jackets were purchased through New York Farm Bureau’s sponsorship of this outstanding youth organization.
New York Farm Bureau is also pleased to announce that it has increased its annual sponsorship to $5,000, becoming a “core partner” of FFA. This will assist FFA students with continued agricultural leadership development efforts and will raise the profile of New York Farm Bureau at all New York State FFA events. At the recent State Convention, several New York Farm Bureau leaders and staff members attended the three-day event. They included NYFB’s Young Farmer and Rancher Chair, Kristen Brown, who addressed the approximately 1,500 FFA students from schools across the state.
“New York Farm Bureau is proud to be the exclusive sponsor providing new FFA jackets to the entire NYS FFA State Officer team each year. It is one of the numerous examples of New York Farm Bureau’s strong support of the FFA program and its role in developing young agricultural leaders for the future,” said Jeff Kirby, New York Farm Bureau’s Executive Director.
