CORTLAND, N.Y. — Since the early 1970’s, the South Central NY Dairy and Field Crops Team has connected farmers and agricultural service providers with research-based tools and information to strengthen the dairy industry. For more than 30 years the team has produced a print newsletter, the Dairy Digest, to keep farmers informed about current research findings, industry updates, and team events.
The team is excited to announce the launch of a new blog that will make our work accessible to a broader online audience! The South Central NY Dairy and Field Crops blog features technical content on all aspects of dairy and field crop production, including herd health, cow comfort, forage quality, dairy facilities, and grazing. It also covers a range of farm business management topics, from record keeping and risk management to leadership and human resources.
In addition to these technical topics, the blog highlights upcoming events, shares success stories, and reports updates on applied research projects.
Anyone with an email address can subscribe to the blog for free. Subscribers will receive an email notification every time a new post is published, about once a week. Subscribers are invited to contact team members to share topics of interest for future posts.
