WESTMORELAND, N.Y. — Sixty-eight years after beef farmers from throughout New York State established the New York Beef Producers’ Association (NYBPA), a producer-driven group dedicated to working together for the improvement of the beef industry, the group has decided to reintroduce the association to the larger beef community. The rebrand of the association blends representation from both the beef and dairy operations that play an essential role in the New York Beef Industry.
“The State Council is excited to launch this new logo that better represents all beef being produced on the thousands of farms that make up our industry here in New York, stated John Kriese, NYBPA President. “In conjunction with the new logo NYBPA members will see new and different programming on both the regional and State level.” The NYBPA is made up of 14 regions each of which have their own representatives on the state level. These regions play a role in delivering educational opportunities and meetings for local producers, as well as, creating strong networking and mentorship opportunities amongst all members.
“Consumers love beef, and as with all foods, today’s consumers want the whole story about the beef they buy,” added Brenda Bippert, NYBPA Executive Secretary. “It is important for our industry to supply the highest quality product and share a consistent story; that starts at the farm level.” The overall effort was designed with both farmers and consumers in mind. Improved management practices, animal care, and consistency will lead to higher profitability for all producers, as well as, a better eating experience for all consumers!
