ANNAPOLIS, Md. — USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will hold a virtual meeting of the Maryland State Technical Advisory Committee on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – Noon. The Committee will review FY2020 program implementation and discuss Fiscal Year 2021 Programs, including the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) and the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).
The Maryland State Technical Advisory Committee provides recommendations for establishing technical guidelines and program criteria and priorities necessary to carry out conservation provisions of the Farm Bill. The Committee includes members from a wide variety of natural resource and agricultural interests. Chaired by the Maryland NRCS State Conservationist, the Committee is composed of representatives from Federal and State natural resource agencies, agricultural and environmental organizations, and agricultural producers.
The Committee meets regularly to provide information, analysis, and recommendations to NRCS management staff. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
