NEW YORK — USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Announces Sign Up Extension for Emergency Funding to Restore Flood-Prone Lands in the Village of Whitesboro in Whitestown, New York.
USDA NRCS in New York is extending the application deadline for residents living in the delineated EWPP-FPE 2019 Halloween Storm project area, to December 11, 2020.
“The interest in this program has been so positive, we are excited to continue moving forward with this very important work serving the community in Whitesboro.” Said Blake Glover, State Conservationist for NRCS New York. “By extending this deadline we want to ensure maximum participation by Village of Whitesboro residents who have been affected by the 2019 Halloween storm flooding event, especially connecting with the owners of some abandoned properties within the project area.”
Project area residents interested in applying for the program may submit applications to NRCS by mail, email or drop-off at the town hall. Specific information regarding application submission can be found at the NRCS NY Website.
All application resources can be found at the NRCS NY web site at https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/detail/ny/programs/easements/?cid=nrcseprd1658015 or email nrcs@whitestown.net for more information.
