TEMPLE, Texas — The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Texas has extended the application deadline for the Restoring Perennial Flow in Comanche Springs project through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP).

The application date is now December 16, 2022, updated from the previously announced application deadline of November 4, 2022.

The partnership, through Texas Water Trade, is available in the Belding Irrigation Area in Pecos County, Texas. NRCS accepts conservation assistance program applications year-round. For funding consideration this year, however, producers and landowners should apply by the state-specific application cutoff date to be considered for fiscal year’s funding.

Applying for Assistance

The NRCS accepts applications for its conservation programs year-round. Updated ranking dates for all programs and states are available at www.nrcs.usda.gov/ranking-dates. Applications received after ranking dates will be automatically deferred to the next funding period. Producers, landowners and forest managers interested in applying for assistance should contact the NRCS at their local USDA Service Center.

Additional information is available on the Texas NRCS website at www nrcs.usda.gov/Texas or by contacting your local USDA Service Center.
