MONROE, Mich. — Farmers and commercial pesticide applicators can obtain eight pesticide re-certification credits at a Pesticide Training and Review class at the Monroe County Community College on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. The class will be held from 9:00am to 3:45pm in room 173-A in the Administration Building on the main campus located at 1555 South Raisinville Road, Monroe, 48161.
The cost to participate is $20 per person, which includes coffee and doughnuts. Participants can earn eight pesticide re-certification credits in the categories of; Private, Commercial core, or commercial categories of 1A, 1B, 3A, 3B and 6. Interested persons can register with payment by contacting MCCC at 734-384-4229.
The class will review parts of the National Pesticide Applicator Certification core study manual. The Monroe County Conservation District MAEAP Technicians will present an overview of the MAEAP program structure and give an update of programs for farms to be environmentally verified.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will be administering pesticide certification exams on Wednesday, November 20 at 12:45pm at MCCC. Interested persons must register on-line with MDARD.
